A small room may seem demanding in terms of furniture selection. Undoubtedly this is the case, as when having a small space for our use, we have to focus on what is important to us. We need to consider which space in the living room to allocate for the comfort zone and which for work or eating meals, for instance.

When we move into a small flat, we need to be aware that a good plan is essential if we want to have a functional living space. We often talk with our customers about how they manage to choose the right furniture for both small and spacious rooms. You send us many photos, which show how you’ve managed to arrange a small studio flat and combine a day room with a bedroom. You are great at decorating a living room that is set to function as a comfort zone during the day and then become a bedroom at night. Scandinavian style is definitely a favourite among many architects. It focuses on naturalness and chooses furniture in simple shapes and interesting colours. Some people associate Scandi style with greys and whites, and it is true that these colours prevail, but more and more often architects would choose, for instance, mustard sofas or corner sofas in dusty pink.

The unconventional form of this piece of furniture, even though it is very classic, will give you a feeling that you’ve created a truly stylish interior arrangement.

A few years ago no one would guess that colourful sofas are going to become so popular among our customers. Back then, blue, red or honey were the colours meant for accessories, such as cushions or curtains. Customers were most likely to buy grey or bottle green sofas, while mustard sofas were not such a popular choice. We think that the reason behind it was probably that people were used to low-key colours as they have always been the obvious choice and worked in any room and any style of interior design.
